Moto Mystery Ride’s are an on-going series of group rides held at BMW Motorcycles of Seattle. This was created to bring the riding community together and bond over our shared interest. All makes, models, and riding levels are welcome.

MEET YOUR RIDE LEADERS:
ADAM (GERTY) GOERTZEN
Gerty grew up riding 4 wheelers/dirt bikes in ID and got a street bike at age 16. Years later he got a 1100GS and started pursuing adventure riding. He has always loved anything fast and adventurous but nothing has been as satisfying as seeing this beautiful country from the seat on his motorcycle. He eventually took his 1250gs to several adv training classes and started tackling BDRs. He also competed in the GS Trophy qualifier in 2023. He did well and hopes to make to team in the coming years. He still commutes year round and weather it’s summiting a peak or taking his girls on daddy/daughter rides, Gerty believes life is better on two wheels!
JAMES YELEY
James grew up in a small town in California, where dirt bikes were more than just a hobby —they were a way of life. As he transitioned from dirt bikes to cruisers in his twenties, his passion for the open road deepened. In 2019, he discovered adventure riding (ADV) and found a new realm to explore with his GS1250 Adventure. Whether he’s cruising down smooth highways, tackling technical training, or navigating the backcountry of the PNW, James is all in when it comes to two wheels. Beyond motorcycling, James thrives on the challenges of his career as a firefighter and values the camaraderie and sense of purpose that both his job and his rides provide.
